Operation Christmas Child – Pack a Shoebox, Share the Gospel
Pidcoke Baptist Church is once again partnering with Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child to send shoeboxes filled with gifts and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children around the world. For many, this shoebox is the very first gift they’ve ever received, and it’s a powerful way to share God’s love in a personal and meaningful way.
What Goes Into a Shoebox?
To make each gift meaningful, pack your shoebox so that it is:
- FUN – Include a “wow” item like a doll, soccer ball, stuffed animal, or other quality toy.
- FULL – Add school supplies, hygiene items, small games, and clothing accessories.
- PERSONALIZED – Pray over your shoebox and include a note or photo. These often become a child’s favorite part of the gift!
Here are some great ideas to include:
- A “Wow” Item: soccer ball & pump, small backpack, stuffed animal, or large toy
- Personal Care: toothbrush, washcloth, comb/brush, water bottle, flashlight
- School Supplies: pencils, crayons, notebooks, markers, scissors, calculator, glue stick
- Games & Activities: puzzles, coloring books, jump rope, musical instruments, chalkboard
- Clothing/Accessories: flip-flops, sunglasses, hats, gloves, hair accessories
Please do not include: food, candy, toothpaste, liquids, seeds, breakables, money, or items related to war/violence.
Collection Dates
The National Collection Week is November 17–24, 2025, but please return your shoebox to Pidcoke Baptist by Sunday, November 16 so we can deliver them on time.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
– Matthew 25:40
Why It Matters
Each shoebox is more than just gifts—it’s an opportunity for a child to hear about Jesus Christ. Along with the items you send, children are given a Gospel booklet in their own language, and local ministry partners follow up with discipleship programs.
Let’s come together as a church family to fill shoeboxes that carry joy, hope, and the message of salvation to children across the globe. Pick up a box this Sunday, pack it with love, and return it by November 16.
