Celebrating the Life of Barbara McConnaughhay

It is with great sorrow and great joy that we share that Barbara McConnaughhay has gone to be with the Lord in Heaven. She will be deeply missed by so many, yet there is comfort in knowing she is now wrapped in the arms of her Savior, rejoicing in her heavenly home. Barbara’s life was a reflection of faith, love, and kindness, and her impact on this church family will not be forgotten.

As a church, we want to come together to honor her life, support one another, and give thanks to God for the time we were blessed to have with her. Below is the schedule of events to celebrate Barbara’s life:

On Wednesday, April 29th at 6:30 PM, our Pidcoke Baptist Church family will gather in Harmony Hall for a Family Fellowship Meal. This will be a special time to share memories, pray together, and praise God for Barbara’s life. Pizza, salad, and dessert will be provided. Food sign-ups have been shared by Sandra Jones through the ladies’ group chat.

On Thursday, April 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, visitation will be held at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville, Texas. This will be an opportunity to spend time with the family and reflect on the many ways Barbara touched lives.

On Friday, May 1st at 2:00 PM, the funeral service will take place at Pidcoke Baptist Church. Overflow parking will be available across the street at Pidcoke Methodist Church. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed on the Pidcoke Baptist Church YouTube channel.

Barbara’s legacy is one of love, faith, and devotion. Her presence brought warmth and encouragement to those around her, and her faith pointed others to Christ. While her absence is deeply felt, her influence will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and church community.
